Dennis Dean Kucera, 28, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 28, 2018, at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 3rd, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Hwy 14 in Eden.  The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his parents, 10501 NC Hwy 87 in Reidsville.

Dennis was born August 22, 1989 in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was a 2015 graduate of Nascar Technical Institute and top of class at  Estes Driving School. Dennis was passionate about fast cars and racing and was a member of the Roamin' Legion Car Club.  He also enjoyed working with computers.  Dennis was beginning a new job and was really excited to be working for Estes Trucking Company as a driver.  

He is survived by his parents, Dan and Karen Kaspar Shaw of Reidsville;  brother, Jonathan "Jonny" Pirie; father, Danny Kucera;  and paternal grandmother, Joyce Kucera, all of California;  maternal grandparents, Robert, Sr. and Ruth Kaspar of Reidsville;  uncles, Robert "Bobby" Kaspar, Jr. and wife, Kameron of San Diego, John Kaspar and wife, Heidi of Knox, PA, David Shaw and wife, Kimberly of LaCenter, WA and Mark Vancort and wife, Genna of Schenectady, NY ;  aunts, Kristine DeMary and husband, Jerry of Mullica Hill, NJ and Bozena Roman and husband, Eddie of Millville, NJ, Jade Stoll of Denver, CO, and Dusty Dawson and husband, Ronald; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Joey Matthews, Matthew Rodgers, Nick Lehman, and Curtis Randolph.

Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Dennis "Big Dennis" Dale Kucera; uncle, Dean Dale Kucera; and Kenneth "Chuck" Robert Reeves, who loved Dennis like his own and helped raise him in his younger years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I worked with Dennis at the Volkswagen Dealership What a pleasant young man Dennis was. He was a joy to chat with and would stop by and say hello now and again. He was very much enjoying his new job. My deepest sympathy to the family and friends. I do know the pain of your loss be kind to yourself and time. We never get over a loss of a child we just learn to live with it. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Dennis with love you will be remembered.
