Madeleine Brown Lee, 90, formerly of Eden, passed away on January 26, 2018 at Jacob’s Creek Nursing Home of Madison.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on January 30, 2018 in Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lem Hardison officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service (10 – 11 am) at the Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Lee was born in the Leaksville section of Eden on August 21, 1927 to the late Ronald Earl Brown, Sr. and Grace Washburn Brown. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Spray Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was to take care of her daughter, Michele. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her daughter, Michele of Eden; grandchildren, Thomas Whitten, and wife Heather of Tampa, FL, Zachary Whitten of New Mexico, Kelly Henderson and husband, George of Jacksonville, NC; great-grandchildren, Lillian Whitten, Leena Whitten, Persephone Whitten and Fox Whitten and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Milton Lee; three brothers, Billy M. Brown, Sr., Ronald E. Brown, Jr. and Thomas B. Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Lee’s memory to Spray Baptist Church; 745 Church Street, Eden, NC 27288.
