Thelma Cobb Bailey Overcash, 94, formerly of Cobb's Knob Road in Axton, VA, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 23, 2018, at Riverside Health and Rehab Center in Danville.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 26th, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home, 716 Cobb's Knob Road in Axton, VA.

Mrs. Overcash was born April 28, 1923 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Chesley Turner Cobb and Bessie Coward Cobb.  She was a member of Willis Memorial Baptist Church and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Scearce and husband, David of Asheboro and Joan Eanes and husband, Jim of Axton;  five grandchildren;  eight great-grandchildren;  one great-great-grandchild; and one step-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Lee Bailey;  her second husband, Robert E. Overcash; son, Jerome "Larry" Bailey;  four brothers;  and six sisters.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the South Wing of Riverside Health and Rehab Center for all their care and support.

Memorial contributions may be to Willis Memorial Baptist Church, 5212 Cascade Road, Cascade, VA  24069.
