Franklin "Frankie" Fred Fields, 55, of 945 Westerly Park Road in Eden, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 12, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, 14900 NC 87 North in Eden.

Frankie was born September 1, 1962 in Rockingham County, NC.  He was a graduate of Morehead High School, Class of 1980 and a graduate of Western Carolina University.  He loved his animals, loved hunting and farming.

He is survived by his mother, Marion Reynolds Fields of Eden;  special friends, Vivian and Jamie Mitchell, Eleanor May, Audrey Chilton, John Hubbard and Jeff Gilley and many others;  and his loving canine companions, Raisa and Kahn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wiley "Corky" Graham Fields, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Brethren, 730 Church Street, Eden, NC  27288.
