Ethel Gover Craddock, 88, formally of 160 Duck Rd. and more recently of Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation of Eden, passed away early Monday morning, January 08, 2018 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at the funeral home’s chapel and other times at the residence of her daughter, 200 Duck Road in Stoneville.  Interment will follow the service in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Craddock was born in the Leaksville section of Eden on June 20, 1929 to the late Thomas Whitt Gover and Vilater Shelton Gover.  She was a graduate of Leaksville High School, class of 1946.  Mrs. Craddock was a member of Leaksville Christian Church.  She originally was employed Central Telephone Company where she met her husband and later was employed at Morehead Hospital as a switchboard operator.  Ethel enjoyed doing crafts including sewing, knitting, and painting.  She loved to horseback ride and most of all she was an avid motorcycle owner and rider.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Karen Craddock Lemons and husband, Donald “Duck”; grandsons, Kevin Lemons and wife, Allison and Scott Lemons and wife, Becky; great-grandchildren, Jared Everette Lemons and Avery Earle Lemons; sister, Juanita Gover Crowder and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Joseph William Craddock and sister, Shirley Gover Martin and her beloved dog, Max.
