William "Bo" Brownell Minter age 84 of 233 Murphy Lane, Eden passed away on Friday morning October 27, 2017 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at his home.

Mr. Minter was born December 15, 1932  to the late William Quince "Buck" Minter and Cora Compton Minter.  He served in the NC National Guard and was a member of Osborne Baptist Church.  "Bo" enjoyed hunting, working in his garden and shop. In his spare time he loved reading "Western" novels.

Preceding him in death along with his parents, was his wife Mildred Lucille Jones Minter and a son, Randy Minter and brothers,Roy, Clifton, Frank, Reuben, Curtis and Thomas Minter; sisters, Gracie, Nellie and Geraldine Minter Odell.

Surviving are daughter, Vickie Corum and husband Doug of Stoneville; son, Ricky Minter and wife Avis of Eden; grandchildren, Randy Smith, Samantha Minter, Adam Minter and wife Rachel, Courtney Minter and Brianna and Brooke Corum; one great-granddaughter, Parker Smith; and one sister, Josephine Minter of Chapel Hill.

Memorial contributions may be offered to Hospice of Rockingham County, Po Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
