Carolyn Gunn Amos, 73, of 1205 First Street in Eden, passed away Sunday morning, October 8, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 12th, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Amos was born October 30, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, to the late Cecil and Polly Moore Gunn.  She was a member of Osborne Baptist Church.  Carolyn enjoyed walking her dog, swimming and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a retiree of Mohawk Industries after 50 years of service.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina Terry and husband, Jimmy of Eden and Lesia Harris and husband, Darrell of Ridgeway, VA;  six grandchildren, Jason Harris, Bo Goss, Caleb Goss, Mika Foster, Josh Terry, and Brianna Foster;  four great-grandchildren, Peyton Terry, Rylee Ragland, Carson Ragland, and Tyler Harris;  brother, Thomas Gunn;  sisters, Teresa Gunn and Donna Hill;  nephews, Jonathan Harris, Christopher Gunn and Seth Gunn;  and her special pets, Toby and Shadow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Amos and daughter, Sheila Goss.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rockingham County Humane Society, 205 Boone Rd., Eden, NC  27288.
