Dear Alice and family, I am so sorry to hear about Jack. I know that you all will miss him dearly. I had gone by to see him at the Brian Center the last few times our group had been there to sing. I invited him to come to dining hall to listen but he didn't feel like it. I will always remember him as he was when I was a young girl and came to your house it seemed like every Saturday night and our dad's would play music together in the basement. If you need anything don't hesitate to call me. You all are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Love, Cheryl

Dear Alice and family, We are deeply saddened to hear about Jack. Jack was like a brother to me (Carlton) and I would enjoy coming down and sitting for hours making music on Saturday nights. I first met Jack when we worked together at the Karastan Rug Mill and that is where our friendship really began. As our friendship grew over the years so did the friendships of our wives and children. Elaine and I are glad to know each of you. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Carlton and Elaine

Many names and places touched my heart as I read this obituary. Ollie was a dear friend of mine, and when I knew her on Little Horse Creek, little did I know that later I would teach, know, and love so many descendants of hers! Alice, I am so sad for you and your dear family. Please tell Joey, Jamie, Amanda, and others in the family that I send my deepest sympathy to them...and to you. Jack had a brave struggle to face. He can now make music with the angels!
