Jane Hopper Carter, 86, of 3273 Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway, VA, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2017, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Reidsville, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 8 at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.  

Mrs. Carter was born July 19, 1931 in Henry Co., VA, to the late George L. and Ruby Dunn Hopper.  She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Ridgeway, VA.

She is survived by several nieces and a nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde J. Carter.
