H. D. Howell, 85, of 157 Aspen Road in Reidsville, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Annie Penn Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 23, at Bibleway Community Church.  Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mr. Howell was born June 20, 1932 in the Draper area of Eden, NC, to the late Harry David Howell and Carrie Johnston Howell.  He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of Bibleway Community Church in Reidsville.  H. D. worked for 35 years at Reid's House and has worked the past 9+ years delivering medications in his community for CareFirst Pharmacy.  

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marie Tucker Howell of the home;  children, David Howell (Penny) of Gibsonville, Meredith Howell of Thomasville, Phyllis Underwood (Robert) of Thomasville, Nathan McKinney (Angie) of Ruffin, Kevin McKinney of Ruffin and Lisa Benson (Tim) of Nebraska;  11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters.
