Janelle Troxler Cheek, 79, of 1235 Forest Drive in Eden, passed away Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, July 21, at First Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Cheek was born September 25, 1937 in to the late Monroe Troxler and Mary Darnell Troxler. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren and a graduate of Tri-City High School, Class of 1955. Janelle worked for Karastan Mills for 43 years, until her retirement. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janelle always enjoyed her time with her family and she will be greatly missed by them all.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Cheek of the home; two daughters, Jan Fretwell of Eden and Tammy Jeffries and husband, Jimmy of Eden; four grandchildren, Brad Adkins (Sandie), Josh Adkins (Heather), Brittany Holley (Jeffrey) and Tyler Jeffries; seven great-grandchildren, Patience, Carolina, Alexis, Addyson, Avery, Jaedyn, and Jordan; and sister, Barbara Andrews of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carlisle, Howard, Jack, Calvin and Billy Troxler and sister, Betty Heffinger.
