Jean Weadon Anderson, 67, of 600 Roberts Road in Eden, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 7 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Jean was born June 28, 1950 in the Draper section of Eden, NC, to the late James Reid Weadon and Irene Mills Weadon.  She was a member of Floyd Baptist Church and of the El Bethel Club.  Jean served on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors as the Women's Committee Representative.  She was formerly in administration with Stone-Eden Christian Academy.

She is survived by her husband, James L. "Jim" Anderson of the home;  sons, Kevin Shane Thompson (Melanie) and Bryan Neal Thompson (Lori), both of Eden, and Jamey Len Thompson (Maria) of Bethany;  daughter, Catherine Jean Sweet (Brian) of Raleigh;  nine grandechildren, Dylan Jones, Reece Thompson, Jackson Sweet, Abbey Thompson, Avery Sweet, Tyler Thompson, Kaylen Thompson, Nicholas Sweet, and Joshua Thompson;  sisters, Linda W. Hylton (John) of Eden and Carolyn W. Farlow of Greensboro;  and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Gregory Anderson.

To Jean's Family, I am sorry for your loss. I knew Jean when my daughter went to Stone Eden for a short while. Then several years later my mom was invited into the home for Thanksgiving in 2015 while I am in KY and can't go in every holiday.
