Gary Lee "Mullet" Warren, 63, of Eden, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 23, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of his daughter, Amber.

Mr. Warren was born September 25, 1953 in Asheville, NC to the late Gerald and Hester Sellars Warren.  He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing and hunting.  He loved playing with his animals and going to the beach.  He was of the Christian faith.   He was a free spirit, a storyteller who never met a stranger.  Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Teresa Stewart Warren of the home;  daughters, Amber Warren and Ashlee Warren of Eden;  brother, Buddy Warren of Danville, VA;  aunts, Tootsie Watts (Marvin) and Iva Lee Pendleton both of Asheville, NC; brothers-in-law, Cecil Stewart  of Eden and Rodger Stewart (Josette) of China;  several very special nieces and nephews;  his mother-in-law, Doris "Van" Shropshire;  and two special pets, Sunny and Yogi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Warren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Smith-McMichael Cancer Center, 117 E. Kings Hwy., Eden, NC  27288 or to Cone Health Cancer Center at Annie Penn, 618 S. Main Street, Reidsville, NC  27320.
