Frances Mae Kallam Scott, 77, of 535 NC Hwy 700 W. passed away late Friday evening at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2017 in Fair Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow the service in Overlook Mausoleum.

Mrs. Scott was born in the Leaksville section of Eden on May 26, 1940 to the late Joe Kallam and Lucy Sands Kallam.  She was a homemaker that loved taking care of her family.  Mrs. Scott was of the Baptist Faith and attended Summit Road Church of God.  Frances enjoyed cooking and most of all taking care of her family was her greatest joy and never met a stranger.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Bowman (Ramona) of Stoneville, William R. Bowman, Jr., Darryl Bowman, and Mark Bowman all of Eden; daughter, Melinda Bowman of Eden; grandchildren, Jason, Kaz, Tonya, Little Robbie, Danielle, Ashley, Jacob, Terry, Randy, Clemmie, and Heather; several great-grandchildren; beloved Pet, Bandit; brother, Jack Kallam of Eden and several nieces and nephews..

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Allen Scott; daughter, Debra Gardner, brothers, Allan Kallam and Cecil Kallam; and sisters, Laura Grogan, Maggie Kendrick and Vera Foster.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1-2) and other times at the residence.
