Patricia "Allison" Frenette, 49, of Eden, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, after a couregous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 1, at Church of the Epiphany in Eden.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service, at the church.

Allison was born November 14, 1967 in Eden, NC to Helen Robertson Frenette and the late Dr. Francis Flo Frenette.  She was a graduate of Morehead High School, Class of 1985 and a graduate of Averett College in Danville, VA. with an Art History Major and minor in art. Allison worked for Home Depot as a professional desk coordinator.  She had the keen wit and  the enthusiatic intelligence of her father and made people laugh with her jokes and cutting humor.  She never complained through the past year and a half of cancer treatment.

She is survived by her loving mother, Helen Robertson Frenette and her adoring  sister, Anne Frenette Carlton;  many special aunts, uncles and cousins;  dear friends, Allison Brooks Younts, Ann Brown Long, Jessica Brooks Hatcher, Grayson Warren Dawson and Joanna Atkins;  and her devoted dogs, Jubel and Mister Butters.

Many of her friends and colleagues from Home Depot-Chicago and PAWS in Bolivia have reached out and their gestures are appreciated.  Allison will be dearly missed by all.

When Allison came into my life, the world became a brighter place. I instantly fell in love with her, the family, and her friends. She was a good friend to me and I'm so sad that I didn't get more time with her. She left behind such good memories. I'm thankful she shared so many laughs and stories with me. She always lended a helping hand and a listening ear. The world will have a big void now. I rejoice in the fact that she is not suffering anymore. I'm thankful she became my friend! I will miss her! I will continue to take good care of her mom and because of her, I have new friends. ❤️😇

Allison was one of my most precious friends in High School. Allison was one of the kindest, funniest, most intelligent and witty persons I've ever known. She was the most generous person and would do anything for anyone. Her smile and laugh was infectious and everyone who met her, loved her! Her personality was larger than life, and she was a good sport all the time!! She was very loved and will be missed by so many!! RIP SWEET FRIEND!! Until we meet again... £o¥€ and P€AC€

Dear Family & Friends, I had the honor of attending high school with Allison (Class of 1985) and have a vivid image of her always carrying a huge smile on her face for everyone. She was very intelligent, giving, loving and funny. We were never close but I'm sure that the girls who did have a close friendship/ sisterhood with Allison have many fond and happy memories to reflect back on. May God be with each of you and give you the peace and strength to get through the difficult days ahead. Sincerely, Arlene Wade
