Ann Marie Owens Yost, 77, of 731 Spring Street in Eden, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2017, at Jacob's Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Madison.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 26, at Victory By Grace Church, 135 Park Road in Eden.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at the church.  A gathering will be held following the service at the home of her sister, Phyllis Gibson, 1143 Harris Street, Eden, NC.

Ms. Yost was born August 28, 1939 in the Spray section of Eden, NC, to the late Spencer and Margarie Kirkman Owens.  She was a retired hairdresser.

She is survived by her two sons, Rick Chaney (Kathy) of Eden and Brian Chaney (Donna) of Pensacola, FL;  two grandchildren, Brittany and Bradley;  two great-grandchildren, Hawk Haggard and Courtney Haggard;  best friend and companion for the last 17 years, Kenneth E. Kirkman of Eden;  brothers, Donnie Owens (Barbara) of Eden and George Owens (Tracy) of Springfield, IL;  and sister, Phyllis Owens Gibson (Danny) of Eden.
