Mrs. Cecile Hill Price, age 100, formerly of Patrick Street in Eden, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Morehead Nursing Center.  

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 27, at Leaksville United Methodist Church, where she was a long-time faithful member.  Visitation will be held on Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, 414 Church Street in Eden.

Mrs. Price was born June 26, 1916 in Alamance County to the late A. J. Hill and Myrtle Conklin Hill.  She came to Leaksville (Eden) as a young girl to attend high school, and after meeting her future husband, made Eden her home for the remainder of her life.  Mrs. Price contributed to the community in countless way.  Her home was alway open and she was known throughout her life as a gracious hostess and loyal friend.

She is survived by her sons, who loved her very much, Philip Price and wife, Louise and Preston Price, both of Eden;  and many nieces and nephews on both the Hill and Price sides of the family, all of whom she loved very dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Joseph J. Price;  sister, Mrs. Doris Moore;  and brother, Mr. Floyd Hill.  

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the years of care provided by Dr. Shah and the staff at Brookdale of Eden and Morehead Nursing Center.
