Betty Jo King Nance age 64 of 172 Windmill Drive, Eden passed away at Hospice of Rockingham County on Saturday April 8, 2017.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 2 pm at Overlook Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Tuesday evening at Fair Funeral Home from 6 til 8 pm.

Betty Jo was born May 6, 1952 in Henry, Virginia to the late Aaron Thomas King and Louise Ramsey King.  She was a homemaker and attended Osborne Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded by her daughter, Tina Nance and brother, DeRoy King.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Danny Nance; son, Todd Nance and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Owen, Corbin and Olivia all of Eden; brothers and sisters, Patsy Craig, Tommy King (Pauline), Jerry King (Denna), Jeanette Bowman (Tommy),Brenda Pierce (Brian),  Jane Barham (David), Sandy Oliver (Steve), John King and several nieces and nephews.

Danny, I'm so sorry to hear this news. When I meet Betty Jo thirty some years ago, she was sweet to me and William. Just a joy to be around. The last time I was her it was in Walmart. She look great and I had no idea she was so close to going home. She is walking those golden street and watching over the rest of us.
