To Ann, Rachel, and all of Larry’s family, I have been at Brookdale with Larry for about 10 months. I observed that he gradually took more interest in the Bible and participating in the study of it. One Saturday morning he was in charge of a brief devotion. He read John 3:16. Afterwards, he affirmed that did believe that. In a private discussion less than 2 weeks before he died, he told me he was truly at peace about his impending death and was assured he would be in the presence of the Lord. I wanted you all to know that.

I loved Larry. I used to see him a lot in the 80's when I would go on trips to GA or almost every Christmas. He loved to shoot pictures so I always bought him 35mm film back then as a holiday gift. Sweet guy that would anything for anybody.

A gentle spirit that never forgot to smile and encourage others. He lived a life of gratefulness and kindness - a good example to me.
