Judy Franklin Phillips, 69, of Martinsville formally of Eden, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 20, 2016 at Eden Baptist Church with Dr. Daryl Law officiating.  Interment will follow in Dan View Cemetery.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 pm).

Mrs. Phillips was born on February 1, 1948 in Rockingham County to the late Fred William Franklin and Harriet Craig Franklin.  She graduated from John Motley Morehead High School.  Mrs. Phillips worked as a hostess for the Hampton Inn.  Judy was a faithful and loyal member of Eden Baptist Church since March of 1992.  She continually loved and supported her Church Family, her Pastor and Pastor’s Wife.  She will be greatly missed by all of them. 

Judy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Barber and husband, Thomas of Asheboro, NC; her son, Lanny Phillips and wife, Margie of Candor, NC; her brother, James F. Franklin of Eden, NC; her sisters, Brenda Cartwright of Martinsville, VA and Joan F. Whitt and husband, Bobby of Eden, NC; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and nephew, Mike Stanley of Knoxville, TN.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Owen Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eden Baptist Church; P.O. Box 1061, Eden, NC  27289.
