Edna Earle Harvey Watkins, 78, of 312 Dameron Street in Eden, passed away Monday evening, March 6, 2017, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at at 2 PM on Saturday, March 11, at Trinity Wesleyan Church.  Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Watkins was born May 4, 1938 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Archie Henry Harvey and Annie Kate Pulliam Harvey.  She retired from Belk of Eden, where she received awards for "Outstanding Productivity and Customer Service".

She is survived by her husband of  58 years, Huey Long Watkins of the home and her daughter, Melissa Watkins Starr and son-in-law, Brett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Minnie Callahan, Elaine Callahan, Gladys Troxler, Pearl Smith, Annie Corum, Ruth Causey;  and a brother, Archie Henry Harvey, Jr.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church, 186 E. Aiken Road, Eden, NC 27288.
