Art was one of a kind! I've always told people that there was no other like him...he had the biggest, kind heart anyone can have. He took care of so many in his lifetime and it did not matter if you were his blood or not, he treated you the same. With all his ailments he always carried on & didn't complain. I have always thought the world of him and will miss him very much!! I know all the family will as well!! He loved them dearly. I'm so glad my Daughter Taylor had the honor of calling him "Papa Art"....we will miss you!!! Love Misty & Taylor

I am at a loss for words at the moment...Simply said he had the biggest heart of genuine love. Being 650 miles away made it seem helpless for me to assist. Thanking the Lord for Stephanie, Dennis and all the others in the family that have home the comfort and care he needed. He is home now in heaven having coffee with mom (Linda) and hanging out with his daughters (my sister's) Paula and Teresa as well as all his siblings already there. I know his suffering was real and is no more! Praying for all of us right now and praising Jesus for his guidance and comfort in this emotional time. I love you daddy and will see you in heaven! Tell everyone I said hello there! .... A song to my dad by Tenth Avenue North... I Have This Hope Tenth Avenue North Lyrics As I walk this great unknown Questions come and questions go Was there purpose for the pain? Did I cry these tears in vain? I don't want to live in fear I want to trust that You are near Trust Your grace can be seen In both triumph and tragedy I have this hope In the depth of my soul In the flood or the fire You're with me and You won't let go But sometimes my faith feels thin Like the night will never end Will You catch every tear Or will You just leave me here? But I have this hope In the depth of my soul In the flood or the fire You're with me and You won't let go So, whatever happens I will not be afraid Cause You are closer than this breath that I take You calm the storm when I hear You call my name I still believe that one day I'll see Your face And I have this hope In the depth of my soul In the flood or the fire You're with me I have this hope In the depth of my soul In the flood or the fire You're with me and You won't let go In the flood or the fire You're with me and You won't let go

My thoughts and prayers are with ll the family during this difficult time. I know it's hard, but he just took off his "earth suit", and the real Art, the spirit man, is very much alive, and celebrating in Heaven with his loved ones that have gone on before him. He would want you to remember the good times you had with him, and know you will see him again! Love you all, Sherry Swiney Cain
