Roger "Dale" Gibbs, 55, of 215 Dunn Street in Eden, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 21, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.

Dale was born January 25, 1961 in Alamance County, NC.  He worked for many years for Elixir Industries and was most recently employed by A. C. Furniture Company.  Dale enjoyed fishing, racing, sports and was an avid Redskins fan.  He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Wendy Bibee Gibbs of the home;  four children, Joey Allen of Washington, DC, Jackie Turner, Emiley Gibbs Stowe (Wesley) and Lacey Gibbs, all of Eden;  seven grandchildren, Jocelynn, Jacob, Jackson, Benson, Lilly, Maggie, and Easton;  mother, Olene Laster Gibbs of Reidsville;  sister, Rhonda Barker of Stoneville;  and brothers, Wes Gibbs (Teresa), David Gibbs (Helen), and Timmy Gibbs, all of Reidsville.

Preceding him in death was his father, Carl Gibbs.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother-in-law, Barnita Bibee, 203 Vintage Road in Eden.
