Eunice "Delight" Smith, 70, of 137 Harrison Road passed away late Saturday evening.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Benny Wood officiating. A private interment will be held following the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (10-11am).

Delight was born on October 2, 1946 in Rockingham County to the late Roger Griffin and Eunice Griffin. She was of the Baptist faith and a faithful member of Tri-City Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith retired from Morehead Hospital with over 20 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Mrs. Smith is survived by husband, Clint Jackson Smith of the home; her children, Skip Barnes and wife Wendy of Eden, Tracey Fulp and husband, Greg of Eden and Eric Beck of Eden; grandchildren, Vicky Campbell and husband, Jay of Eden, Jesse Barnes of Chapel Hill, NC, Ben Beck, Will Beck and Kaelyn Beck all of Eden; great-grandchildren, Jack Campbell and Jordan Campbell; brother, Ronald Griffin of Eden; her beloved cats, Prissy and Willie.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Carter and her brothers, Jim Griffin and Donnie Taylor.

The family request, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rockingham Humane Society, 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288.
