Peggy Mae Cooke Hensley, age 85 formerly of 151 Wray Road, Stoneville, NC passed away on Saturday October 29, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Bobby Billings officiating.

Mrs. Hensley was born June 10, 1931 in Forsyth County to the late Sidney and Sarah Carroll Cooke. She was retired from Hanes Knit Wear and late was owner and operator of her own restaurant. Peggy was a member of Moose of Eden, NC since the 1980's and member of the NC Seniors. She attended Floyd Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Hensley.

Surviving are brother, Kent Cooke and Dawn of King, NC ; special friend, Steve Hancock of Stoneville and several cousins.

Memorial may be offered to Hospice of Winston Salem, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27127.

We are very sorry for your loss. Peggy was one of the sweetest ladies I ever met! She was always kind and caring of everyone around her. We haven't saw her in a while but thought of her often.Praying for her loved ones.
