Mary Inez Gauldin Hodges, 81, of 202 Hall Lane in Eden, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 21, at Overlook Cemetery.

Inez was born July 9, 1935 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late John and Estelle Crouch Gauldin.  She was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills after 37 years of service and was of the Holiness faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Purdy of Eden and Donna Crawford of Greensboro;  grandchildren, Margaret "Margie" Reichard (Jeff), Michael Crawford (Angela), Joseph Nelson (Wendy), William Crawford (Heather), Jason Crawford, Christopher Hodges (Vicky), and Melissa Chrismon (Keith); and  10 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Thomas Melvin Hodges; daughter, Jeanette Margaret Hodges; and two brothers, John and Alvin Gauldin.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of Michael and Angie, 142 Wimbish Road in Eden.
