Carlotta Mae South Tart, 66, of 108 N. Center Street in Eden, passed away Monday evening, October 17, 2016, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 21, at Draper Christian Church.  Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.

Carlotta was born February 2, 1950 in Rockingham County, NC.  She was a member of Draper Christian Church. Carlotta was a retired Pharmacy Tech and a member of the United Granddaughters of the Confederacy.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Vernon and husband, Samuel, of Eden, Rebecca Faulk and husband, Chris, of Houston, Texas and Chris South and husband, Wayne, of Eden;  six grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren;  mother, Rachel Blackwell South of Eden;  two brothers, J. C. South and wife, Kathy, and Tony South, both of Eden;  and sister, Alma Jean Biggs and husband, Johnny of Eden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Tart; father, John C. South, Sr.; brother, Ernest Young;  and daughter, Bobbie Jean Belton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Draper Christian Church and other times at the residence.
