Roy Carlton Powell, 83, passed away early Friday morning, October 14, 2016, at Brian Center in Eden.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, October 17, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Roy was born November 27, 1932 in Draper, NC, to the late Roy Wade Powell and Ollie Wray Powell. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills after 41 years of service. Roy was a member of Church of the Living God.
He is survived by his daughter, Cyndi Bailey of Eden; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Stratton of Eden; and brother, Talmadge Powell of Eden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Sutton and great-grandchild, Nina.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 6 - 8 pm, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of Talmadge Powell, 104 Watkins Road in Stoneville.
