James "Jimmy" Bradley Mize, 69, of 656 Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway, VA, passed away September 6, 2016, at his home.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9.

Jimmy was born August 1, 1947 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Jesse Herman Mize and Claudia Louise Meeks Mize.  He was a graduate of Morehead High School Class of 1965 and of Kings Business College.  He was formerly employed by Mize Motors.  In his spare time he enjoyed raising horses.

He is survived by his son, Jesse Bradley Mize (Pam) of Eden;  daughter, Tina Mize Hale (Steve) of Eden;  grandchildren, Sara Megan Mize of Stoneville, Brent O'Neill Toney of McLeansville, and Brittany Shea Toney of Charlotte;  two brothers, Tim Mize of Eden and Max Mize of Stoneville;  and sister, Karen Mize of Savannah, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Mize.
