Dedri Tucker Sparrow, 55, of 1000 Second Street in Eden, passed away Monday morning, August 15, 2016, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 7pm Wednesday evening at Fair Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Dedri was born May 10, 1961 in Hope Mills, NC. She was a graduate of Ragsdale High School, Class of 1979. Dedri and her husband were co-founders of Christian Worship Assembly where she served as an adult Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Wendell Sparrow of the home; daughters, Ashley Hendrix Royals (Brandon) of Jacksonville, NC and Wendy Michelle Simpson (Bryan) of Eden; son, Don Garland Hendrix (Jennifer) of Martinsville, VA; sister, Linda Brooks of High Point, NC; and brother, Scott Randolph of Archdale, NC.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Randolph and step-father, Clarence Butch Randolph.

I am so sorry to hear this. We all know she is in a much better place. Her and Wendell made my morning everyday at work when they would come through biscuitville drive thru. She had a smile on her face regardless if she felt bad or good. She would compliment everyone regardless of her own situation. She would have me smiling even after she left.I am praying for you ,Wendell, and your family that God give you the strength and courage to continue with your life here until we all see her again. Dear Sparrow family, I am sorry for your pain, and loss. I would like to share with you something that has given many comfort at a time like this. You can find real comfort in what God has promised, such as in John 5:28,29 -He promises that he is going to resurrect all those who have ever died, back to life again here on earth. And all the things that cause us sorrow, pain, and even death, will be gone forever. You can read about this in Revelation 21:3,4, and 1 Corinthians 15:26.
