Frances Willard Cobb, age 93 of Axton, Virginia passed away on Sunday morning May 22, 2016 at Red Oak Manor Assisted Living in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday May 27th, 2016 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC. with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, NC. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Cobb was born February 22, 1923 to the late George and Mary Harbour Willard. She was a member of Spray Baptist Church. She loved flower gardening and traveling. Frances retired from Morehead Memorial Hospital as a Nurse.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Joe Cobb, Sr.; sons, Arthur Wayne Cobb and Chesley Joseph Cobb II; brothers, Cedric, Calvin and Bethel Willard; sisters, Sadie Cox and Mary Stultz.
Surviving are daughter, Donna Cobb Hodges of Rocky Mount, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Pat Cobb of Morrow, Georgia; sister, Loveleen Jones and husband Ray; grandchildren, Chesley Joseph Cobb III, Deborah Brown, Daryl Cobb, Anthony Cobb, Chere Cobb, Melanie Shorter, Michelle Hodges and Michael Hodges; great grandchildren, Emily, Brittany, C.J., Joseph B, Demetri, Taylor, Will, Matthew, Chandler, Joseph H. and Conner; sister-in-law, Thelma Overcash; brother-in-law, David Cobb; numerous neices and nephews.
