Helen Hicks McCormick, 85, passed away May 15, 2016 at the Brian Center in Eden. 

 

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville. Reverend Lem Hardison will be officiating. 

 

Helen was born March 7, 1931 in Leaksville, NC to the late Joe and Ethel Stephens Hicks. Helen was a member of the Cathedral of His Glory in Greensboro. She retired from Karastan as an inspector. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading her Bible, meeting with friends at McDonald's, shopping, and dancing with her husband. She loved little children and praying for her friends and those that were ill.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome H. McCormick; son, Jerry McCormick; sisters, Virginia Richardson and Polly Grogan; and brothers, Ralph and Joe Bill Hicks.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 17, 2016 from 6pm - 8pm at Fair Funeral Home in Eden, NC and other times at Betty's home.

 

Helen is survived by her sister, Betty H. Shively, of Eden; brothers, Wayne Hicks and Donnie Hicks, of Eden; daughter-in-law, Lydia McCormick; sisters-in-law, Betty W. Hicks and Gaye Hunt, of Eden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
