Robert Lee Rodgers, 71, of 500 Lake St., Eden passed away early Saturday morning at his home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday Sept. 7, 2pm at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Reidsville NC. Robert was born August 29, 1939 in Rockingham County to the late Elmer and Nannie Hall Rodgers. He worked for the City of Eden for over 30 years in Maintence taking care of the Parks and Recreation grounds, among other various tasks. He was also a member of Fieldcrest Road Church Of God. Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife Joyce Travis Rodgers of the home, one son Jackie Lee Rodgers of Ridgeway, VA, two grandchildren Richard and Ryan Rodgers of Ridgeway, VA, one Sister-In-Law Doris Rodgers of Eden and many neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by one brother Lonnie Rodgers. Visitation will be Monday evening 6 until 8pm at Fair Funeral Home, and other times at the home. In Lieu of flowers, donation may be made to; Hospice Of Rockingham County, 2150 Hwy 65, Wentworth, NC 27320, or Fieldcrest Road Church of God, 312 S. Fieldcrest Rd., Eden, NC 27288.
