Jimmy Gray Moore, age 81, formerly of Twila Lane, Eden, passed away on Sunday morning May 1, 2016 at Brian Center Health and Rehab.
 
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Dan View Cemetery. 
 
Mr. Moore was born October 2, 1934 in Guilford County to the late Sam Henry and Grace Jones Moore.  He was of the Baptist Faith.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Henry Moore; mother, Grace J. Moore Hall; stepfather, Fred Hall; and a sister, Melinda Kay Hall.
He is survived by numerous cousins.
 
 A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 pm.
 
A special thanks to the staff at Brian Center for their care of Mr. Moore these last several years.

We grew up with Jimmy and his family on 600 in the Draper section. Jimmy always called me "Sweetheart Fuzz"! Grace, Fred, "Lindy Kay" and Jimmy were just like part of our family! Jimmy was a sweet person! "Fuzz"

Up until Jimmy's death, I always thought that I was his only "sweetheart". However at his funeral I learned that Jimmy had many "sweethearts". I visited him at the Brian Center on his 80th birthday and he still remembered me and called me "Sweetheart Janice". That made me smile. He was my neighbor for many years and his Mother, Grace Hall, was my first baby sitter and I might add my best baby sitter. Grace and my Mother, Lizzie Gillie, were dear friends and spent many hours on each other's porch talking. Lindy Kay loved my son Brad like he was her own. I have many fond memories of the Grace Hall family.
