Rosa Bell Adkins Pilson, 84, passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2016, at Morehead Nursing Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 1, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Pam, 114 Wilson Street in Eden.

Rosa was born September 24, 1931 in Henry County, Virginia to the late James and Lessie Hollandsworth Adkins. She was a member of Spray Baptist Church and formerly worked for Rockingham Insurance.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Burgess of Eden and her two grandchildren, Lisa Barnett and husband, Kyle of Eden and Jason Burgess and wife, Ramie of Randleman, who she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Pilson; daughter, Robin Pilson; sister, Frances Hundley; and brothers, Simmons Adkins, Shelburne Adkins, and Pete Adkins.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Safe Haven for the care given to Mrs. Pilson during her stay there.
