Kathleen Handy Barrett, age 88 of 452 Early Ave. Eden, NC passed away on Friday afternoon at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Barrett was born August 2, 1927 in Rockingham County to the late Charles Sanford Handy and Hattie Edwards Handy. She graduated from Leaksville High School and retired from E.I. DuPont Industries.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, Elmer Barrett
Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth Ann Barrett of the home; nephews, R.B., Milton and Ronald Hundley; nieces, Nancy Clark, Gloria Burris, Rowena Shinault, Linda Hundley Miller, Burnelle Cochran, Peggy Ayers and Vickie Robertson.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:30 pm till 7:30 pm at Fair Funeral Home.
