Christine Virginia Barker Anderson, age 90 of 500 Mountain Top Drive, Asheboro and formerly of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away early Thursday morning at Randolph Hospice House of Asheboro.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden, NC with burial to follow at the Cox Family Cemetery in Ridgeway, Virginia.
Mrs. Anderson was born February 27, 1925 in Henry County, Virginia to the late Tony and Emily Mabes Barker. She was a graduate of Leaksville High School Class of 1942 and retired from Central Storage in Martinsville, Virginia. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Eden, NC.
Preceding her in death along with her parents was daughter, Kristin Priscilla Anderson and the father of her children, James Richard Anderson, Sr.
Surviving are daughters, Dorcas Anderson Lindsey of Greensboro and Valerie Anderson Nall and husband Jarrett of Asheboro; son, James Richard Anderson, Jr. and wife Jennifer Coke Anderson of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jaden Nall, Gracie and Jackson Anderson; sister in law, Dorthy Barker of Ridgeway, Virgina.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 till 2 pm at the funeral home.
