Edna Furches Morrison, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Tuesday morning, January 12, 2016, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 16 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.

Mrs. Morrison was born October 27, 1934 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Ezra Lewis and Annie Belle Newby Furches. She was a member of El Bethel Presbyterian Church and a retiree of DuPont after 33 years of service. Edna loved to oil paint as a gifted artist, enjoyed quilting as a past time and loved living life to it's fullest with her family.

She is survived by daughter, Sara M. Dunovant; and grandson, Morgan Dunovant; special cousins, Ted and Cathy Merritt, all of Eden; and her special pet, "Joey".

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Moier Morrison and son-in-law, Danny Dunovant.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter.
