Billy Gene Bryant, 79, of 843 Clarkway Drive in Eden, passed away Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 17, at First Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant was born January 17, 1936 in Spray, NC to the late Lidge Albert and Lois Sams Bryant. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church and a retiree of City of Eden.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Reynolds Bryant, of the home; two daughters, Dianne Sexton and husband, Randy of Eden and Lisa Glenn and husband, Keith of Anderson, SC; sons, Wayne Bryant and wife, Teresa of Ruffin and David Bryant and wife, Cindy of Bassett, VA; two grandchildren, Renee Sexton Weddle and husband, Tim and Erin Sexton; brothers, Benson Bryant, Ronnie Bryant, and Wayne Bryant; and sisters, Gloria Wilkins, Muriel Caldwell, and Margaret Stump.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Phillip Bryant and Nancy Hopkins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

There are a lot of people living in Eden NC but there was only one Billy Bryant! He was a great friend and neighbor my entire life. We will miss the neighborhood cookout, friendly hand waves going up the road, and smiling face that he always displayed. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and he will always be missed.
