Patsy Ruth Boyd Hoppa, 84, of 224 Melrose Street in Winston-Salem, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015 at Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center in Winston-Salem.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 28, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville.
Mrs. Hoppa was born July 7, 1931 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Elmer Edward Boyd and Ruth Harris Boyd. She was a graduate of Wentworth High School and a retiree of Hanes Hosiery.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Jay Hoppa and wife, Donna of Chipley, FL; sister, Lorena Mittelstadt of Mebane, Charlotte Brower and husband, Ed of Greenville, SC, and Kay Isley of Winston-Salem; one grandchild; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one step-great-grandchild; and 13 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Albert Hoppa; daughter, Patricia Lou Hoppa; and two brothers, Howard and Charles Boyd.
