Lorene Heffinger Moorefield age 91, of 440 Barnes Road, Eden, passed away on Saturday Novemeber 7, 2015.
A funeral service will be held 11a.m. Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.
Mrs. Moorefield was born January 23, 1924 in Spray to the late Thomas and Merwyn DeHart Heffinger. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Roberts Memorial Baptist Church.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Moorefield; son, Larry; granddaughter, Amy and grandson Wayne Moorefield; brothers, Denzil Heffinger; sisters, Faye Murphy and Jean Caldwell.
Surviving are son, Randy Moorefield; daughters, Dawn Bundy and husband Steve, Alania Bowers and husband Russell of Eden, Teia Mason and husband Vernon of Martinsville, Desiree Nitsch and husband Lance; brother, Garry Heffinger and wife Rachel; daughter-in-law, Myrna Moorefield, all of Eden; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roberts Memorial Baptist Church, 203 Memorial Baptist Ch. Rd., Stoneville, NC 27048.
