Marie Louise Krum Young, 91, of 671 Highland Park Drive, passed away early Friday morning, November 6, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 10, at Leaksville Moravian Church. A private family burial will take place later that afternoon at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs Young was born May 31, 1924 in Columbia County, Pennsylvania to the late Clayton and Verna Bittner Krum. She graduated from Bloomsburg State Teachers College and was an elementary school teacher in New Brunswick, NJ, Durham County and Forsyth County in NC, during her early years. Mrs. Young retired, along with her husband, in 2001 from his medical practice.
She is survived by her four children, Bernard Young and wife, Lynne of Eden, Sally Pruden and husband, Tom of Charlotte, Dan Young and wife, Toni of Mt. Airy, and Steve Young and wife, Lori of Cary; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and sister, Shirley Krum Thomas and husband, William of Bloomsburg, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles G. Young; and sister, Erma Krum Thomas and husband, Glenn.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Leaksville Moravian Church and other times at 247 Meadowood Road in Eden.
