Susan Light Sutton, 57, of 418 Merriman Street, passed away Tuesday evening, November 3, 2015, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 6, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Sutton was born December 28, 1957 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Derward Light and Juanita Hall Light.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth "Bubba" Sutton of the home; daughter, Amber Martin and husband, Ryan of Reidsville; granddaughter, Parker Smith and two grandson, Connor Martin and Jaxon Martin, all of Reidsville; brothers, Wayne Kirkman and wife, Cathy and Aubrey Light and wife, Linda, both of Eden; niece, Christy Light Cook and husband, Eric of Florida; and two nephews, Cary Kirkman and wife, Shannon of Ridgeway, VA and Aaron Light and wife, Lacey of Raleigh. Also surviving are several special friends, Rhonda Jones of Tennessee, Sandy Lee Martin of Virginia, Carolyn Lancaster, Brona Hylton (cousin), and Toni LaPrad, all of Eden.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the chapel and other times at the residence.

Even though we lost track of each other over the years, it was always great to run into Susan out shopping or taking her precious Mom Juanita to the bank or to get groceries. I was shocked to hear from another dear friend that Susan was ill and as I prayed and asked God to heal her, I knew he might choose to heal her in a heavenly way. I trust that there is a great celebration going on in heaven tonight as Susan was welcomed home! My prayers and deepest sympathy to the family.

I just found out about Susan's passing.....I'm so sorry and saddened to hear of her death. She and I went to North Spray Graded School together and I always loved her sweet smile and personality. She always was so complimentary towards me and I thoroughly enjoyed our friendship. Most recently, we have reconnected via Facebook and I've enjoyed her kind comments.
