Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Morgan Horton, 88, of Lancaster, widow of Benjamin Floyd Horton, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 in Columbia, SC. She was born June 14, 1927 in Kershaw, a daughter of the late William Lee Morgan and Dezze Anne Taylor Morgan. A homemaker, Mrs. Horton was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, working in her yard, crocheting and crafts.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Horton will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mrs. Horton is survived by a son, Myron M. Horton and his wife Debbie of Eden, NC; a daughter, Laura Horton Watts and late husband Phillip Watts of Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Horton Conol and husband George, Virginia (Ginni) Horton Mayberry and husband Matthew, Nancy Horton, Nolan Watts and fianc?ɬ� Cameron Litaker, and Amanda Watts. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Zachary and Gabreille Conol, Parker and Virginia Elaine Mayberry. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Hazel Morgan, Heyward Morgan, and David Morgan; and four sisters, Viola Morgan Estridge, Wilma Morgan Robinson, Ruby Morgan Broome, and Ruth Morgan Hendrix.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
