Bonnie Slaughter Jarrell, 65, of 438 Decatur Street in Eden, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held 4 pm Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.
Bonnie was born February 20, 1950 to the late Jasper Lee Slaughter and Bessie Kingery Slaughter in Ridgeway, Virginia
She is survived by one son, Dwayne Bateman of Greensboro; three brothers, Luke Slaughter and wife Nancy of Eden, George Slaughter and wife Robin of Axton, VA, and Roger Slaughter of Eden; one sister Kathy Hodgson and husband Ron of Eden; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Slaughter;nieces, Becky Church, Lisa Slaughter, Bridgett Snody and Sherrie Slaughter of Eden; nephews, Barry, Jeff, Rodney, Johnny and Kim Slaughter all of Eden, Brian Hundley of Eden and Mike Slaughter of Albermale, NC; special friends, Glenn Jarrell, Dorothy "Pinky" Ward, Jimmy Lester and Donnie Bateman.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were her brothers Bill Slaughter, and Timothy Slaughter, and sister Nancy Slaughter.
The family will receive friends 3- 4 pm Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Kathy S. Hodgson, 527 John Street, Eden, NC.
