Mr. Leslie Roosevelt O'Dell, 81, of Ridgeway, VA passed away early Tuesday morning, September 15, 2015 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 17, at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.

Mr. O'Dell was born August 22, 1934 in Henry County, Virginia to the late William Cameron O'Dell and Fannie Craddock O'Dell. He was a retired security guard. Mr. O'Dell loved his children, grandchildren, son-in-law, and his dog, Tammy, who predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary O'Dell of the home; two daughters, Kathy Shepherd and husband, Ricky of Bassett, VA and Cynthia O'Dell of Ridgeway, VA; granddaughters, Hannah Shepherd of Hickory, NC and Kelsey Harris of Bassett; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Dalton and husband, Jon of Danville, VA; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Lucas Harris; three step-great-grandchildren, Ellie and Ethan Burley and Carleigh Dalton; three sisters, Helen O'Dell and Virda O'Dell, both of Ridgeway and Lillian DiBacco of Windsor Locks, Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother.
