Linda Turner Swayne, age 74 formerly of S. Hamilton Street, Eden passed away early Saturday morning September 12, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A Memorial service will be held 2 pm Monday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lawson Cemetery.
Linda was born June 30, 1941 in Leaksville, NC to the late Merlyn Turner and Gwen Buckner Turner Woodall. Linda graduated from Morehead High School Class of 60'. She was retired from the former Fieldcrest Mills. Linda has resided for the last several years at Morehead Nursing Center.
Surviving are sons, Rayfe A. Swayne and wife Kim of Eden and Shaune T. Swayne of Reidsville; three grandsons, Austin, Cole and Cameron Swayne; great grandson, Tucker Swayne.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Rayfe, 231 Warren Road, Eden, NC.
Memorial contributions may be offered to the Rockingham County Humane Society, 205 Boone Road, Eden,NC 27288.

Linda was a mother to everyone she knew. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I will never forget the pool parties she had for us kids and she always made us laugh and kept us safe. Linda brightened up every place she entered. I'm heartbroken by the loss of your precious soul, but I am comforted that you are now in Heaven, safe and peaceful with the Lord. RIP sweet lady.
