Dorothy Hutson McDaniel, 85, of 1718 Maryland Avenue in Eden, passed away late Wednesday evening, September 2, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 5, at Danview Cemetery.
Mrs. McDaniel was born April 10, 1930 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Henry Hutson and Gracie Chilton Hutson. She attended Solid Rock Baptist Church in Draper.
She is survived by two sons, Norris "Buster" McDaniel and wife, Deborah and Danny "Bo" McDaniel and wife Karen all of Ruffin; daughters, Paula McDaniel and husband, J. D. Carter and Cheryl M. Southall, both of Ridgeway, VA; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred McDaniel and four brothers.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

My very heart felt sympathies to the McDaniel Family. I have very fond memories of Dorothy, Mac, Buster, Bo, Paula & Cheryl. As a kid I spent many hours at play in their home and Dorothy always made me feel welcomed. If I needed straightening out she was good at that too! Heaven has gained another Angel.. R.I.P. Dorothy.
