Irene Thomas O'Neal, age 67 of 1950 Price Grange Road, Stoneville passed away on Friday August 28, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A Funeral service will be held 3 pm Monday at Osborne Baptist Church in Eden with burial to follow at Oak Level Baptist Church in Stokesdale.
Mrs. O'Neal was born September 2, 1947 in Stokesdale to the late Cornelius Vanburen Thomas and Betty Pegram Thomas. She attended N.W. High School in Guilford County in her early years and retired from Unifi. Irene loved to read, but most of all she enjoyed raising her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death along with her parents by her son, Robert Benton Harrell, Jr.
Surviving are daughters, Lynn Wright and husband Tommy of Stoneville and Amy Harrell of Reidsville; brothers, Burton Thomas and wife Margie of Stoneville, Billy Thomas and wife Margaret of Stokesdale and Jimmy Thomas and wife Marcia of Eden; grandchildren, Matthew, Alaina and Ali Wright, Jon Hughes and Sam, Jessica and Carley Harrell.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 pm at Fair Funeral Home in Eden and other times at the home.
