John Michael Konorosky, 79, of 232 Andra Drive in Ridgeway, VA, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 18, at St. Joseph of the Hill's Catholic Church on Boone Road in Eden. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Rockingham County Veteran's Honor Guard and NC National Guard will perform military rites. A reception will be held at the Morehead-Fair House (adjacent to Fair Funeral Home) immediately following the committal service. All are welcome.

Mr. Konorosky was born June 13, 1936 in Dunlo, Pennsylvania to the late John S. Konorosky and Mary Rechonie Konorosky. He was a very strong and faithful member of St. Joseph of the Hill's Catholic Church and was a US Air Force veteran. John was a retiree of Miller Brewing Company.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna, of Rhode Island; sister, Patricia Opett and husband, Richard of Windber, PA; sister-in-law, Lee Konorosky of Leesburg, GA; a very special caring friend, Mary Taylor of Reidsville, NC and her family; friend, Donnie Irvine; nephews, Greg Konorosky of GA and Rick Opett of VA; and two nieces, Jeannine of PA and Amy of GA.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph of the Hill's Catholic Church, 316 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288 or to St. Francis Prayer Center, 477 Grogan Road, Stoneville, NC 27048.
